1. If your sandwich is cut in half on the diagonal, creating two triangles do you bite the hypotenuse or the point?
OK, I had a guess of what “hypotenuse” was, but I had to look it up to make sure. (Hey, I barely made it through geometry class.) I would start eating at the point. But for the record, I don’t like my sandwich cut on the diagonal. It annoys me. Down the center, please!

2. Dipping a tortilla chip– do you dip the tip or the side of the chip to scoop the dip?
This all depends on whether it is socially acceptable for me to double dip. If with my immediate family or partner, then I dip the tip and repeat for each bite. Anyone else, I scoop or put a bunch on my plate. I really don’t like having to concentrate on chip-to-condiment ratio. I like to multiple dip and enjoy it.

3. Do you think you drink too much coffee? How much do you drink daily? What is a “cup” of coffee to you–how many ounces/grams?
No, I think I drink the right amount of coffee – zero.

4. Do you take cream in your tea? How many sugars?
Well, in my chai, I like vanilla milk (preferably vanilla soy). In all other tea, no cream and no sugar. Maybe some lemon.

5. How do you eat a burrito?
a. Pick it up with your hands, bite into an end.
b. Cut it in half, then pick up one half and eat it.
c. Eat it with a fork and knife
d. Open the tortilla, eat the food inside and eat the tortilla last.
e. Other
a. I like to handle my burrito.

6. Pizza…How do you eat a slice?
a. Pick it up and eat it as an open slice.
b. Pick it up and fold it together, then bite into it.
c. Leave it on the plate and eat with a fork and knife.
e. I eat the crust first, then the rest of the slice.
I usually go with a unless it’s a huge slice of NY style pizza where folding is needed to stop from smearing pizza oil all over my face.

…Why do you eat your pizza like that?
Pizza is supposed to be an easy food, right? The knife and fork are too much work.

What is the weirdest thing that you are into?
Weirdness is in the eye of the beholder. And some things are best kept to yourself.

Bonus, bonus:
Do you care if your different foods, on a plate, touch each other? Yes!?! What’s that all about?
It really depends on the food. Thanksgiving? Mush it all together! Chinese? Keep those flavors separate! If something is tomato based (like ketchup) then I get very picky on what it touches.

  2. Funny you shoudl say Chinese food needs to be separate. When I eat mine, I often throw it in a bowl and top it with sweet and sour sauce and eat it all mixed up. Great answers. Happy TMI.

  3. Now I feel the need for some extra gooey and cheesy…something- anything really. What doesn’t taste good with five cheeses dumped over it?
